We speak of history because we are history. We are here because of history.
Our civilization exists because our blood lines survived.
"All things begin and end with blood.
It is a crimson river running through us all,
carrying our hopes, our feuds, our love and memories."

I have been working on this website for over a year now, and the information on this website is only the tip of the iceburg compared to what is left to find. I could think of no better time than today, April 1, 2022, to publish this site as it is this day 32 years ago that my first born entered this world and made me a mother. The experience of researching my ancestral lineage has been a life changing, and I look forward to sharing as much information as I can. I will be using my blog to keep track of newly added forms and ancestors found, as well as all records I add after today. Welcome to my new site!
To my sons, my future grandchildren, and
all my ancestral bloodline relatives, this website if for you. I will continue to research and add as much information as I can until the day I can no longer do so. This website would not be possible if it weren't for a distant relative (sharing 1.13% DNA) I have not met. We found each other on 23andme.com in December, 2018, and she was most gracious in sharing her ancestral roots. I took extensive notes of her the various bloodlines she shared with me and I searched these bloodlines to find our common ancestor for about a year to no avail, so I closed the book and didn't open it again until February, 2021. Fresh eyes, and a fresh start, I found the ancestor I have been searching for within the First Day! Our common ancestor was written on the 4th page of my notes, and it was her Great Grandparents and my 3X Great Grandparents. (Johannes Norland b. 1839 and Bertha Jacobsen Heng b. 1841) Her Grandfather (Nels Norland), and my 2X Great Grandmother (Anna Norland) were brother and sister. I will be eternally grateful to Sonja, the lady who made it all possible. I finally figured out the name of my biological parent on February 24, 2021. |
